All of the separate takes for this song are lost, this is the only mix that exists. I did my best to polish it a bit and did a quick master of it.

Before 'Hawk Eyes' was written I had already played around with the imagery of the hawk. Why it is that I come back to this animal I have no idea. The energy of a hawk seems composed and yet relentless and penetrating. With this song I think I was just trying to make sense of how we evolve our senses or rather devolve through constant visual stimulation while being isolated. How it seemed at the time that a majority of people were in their minds 'the main character' but in their actions, just some bumbling fool with their face's lit up by their phone screen.
